2019 winter in Korea was the hottest winter that average temperature of nationwide was 3.1 ℃ and it was 2.5 ℃ higher than usual.

However, there were unprecedented cold days in 2020 winter even the previous winter was the hottest winter since observation.

In January, 2021, cold wave warnings continued in most parts of the country, and Seoul recorded its lowest daily temperature since 2000s

Graphs are the national minimum temperature in January, both 2020 and 2021. It shows that temperature in 2020 distributed around 0 ℃ ~ -5 ℃ while in 2021 was around -5 ℃ ~ -12℃.

This made us to question that why last winter was colder than the previous year even the world's temperature is rising.
